Power Inverters
I know there was a thread on here about PI's but I can't find it. Just wanted some info on what you all are running size wise for sawzalls, drills, ect. I want to put one in dad's truck just not sure what the best option is between that and a cordless.
Thanks all
Joe

My old Milwaukee is a 6 amp but Snodleys new one is a 10 or 12amp. For most small stuff I think a 1500 would run it.

A 1500 would definitely do the job but I think the size of your vehicle and battery plays a huge role also I can get away with a 750 watt inverter from harbor freight running off a hd 03 gmc Sierra but I used to have a 92 Dakota and it didn't hold up as well.

i bought a 1200w continuous off amazon and its done the trick for me so far. even used to it run my boiler and fridge (alternately) during a week long blackout last fall.
my sawzall is a Milwaukee, and i try not to burn it out, but it keeps up in decently long bursts
