Are prices going to go up or down? I know depends on values of precious metals. Getting a large stockpile of motherboards, etc ready to sell when prices look better.

I shipped a box earlier to cashforcomputer scrap they had the best posted prices, and if you're in PA the shipping shouldn't be to terrible if you've got 50 pounds. I'm still saving up my memory up to about 7 lbs of memory I'd like to save up at least 15-20 pounds before I ship it off.
I probably got a couple hundred pounds of boards, Lots of server boards, backplanes, cards. 10-15lbs of memory. Thinking I'm going to wait to sell.

Electronic scrap material is on a steady slope down hill as the old material is making its way through. This trend will not change ,as the quality is degrading. As far as what the market will do, who knows as this point.
the market is not as big of a problem as the quality and quantity of the material. fewer people are replacing electronics. which is going to lead to less material. if the economy does not become the number one priority we are going to face even bigger problems.
So sell sell sell right?... what if gold goes up another $300 a t oz in 2 years..obviously would be worth more.. older units that have higher % of gold should still bring more...I already decided to hoard..got two exta bedrooms so y not..I'm more upset at copper since I decided to hoard that for a bit n prices keep dropping and here I am with 400 lbs..was planning on selling in july when my kid is born, but seems like I lost on that
what if. i started doing this when gold was about $130/oz. about the time of the carter administration.
it seems rather obvious that we all should have hoarded our precious metals. or does it. are you using this to produce a daily income? are you doing this for short or long term investment? what are your goals.
if you are investing, you should be holding a recognized set commodity. electronic scrap is not. it is not recognized by the markets.
if this is an income, why are you holding it. does it meet your profit margin. will you be forced to pass up any future purchases because you are holding for a better price?
will you make more investing the proceeds or will you make more by hoarding.
I agree with rbrooks....I do this for a living and I try to buy at what the market is and sell accordingly and try to make as much as possible.......Anyway I would like to see the prices go a little higher as I have around 600 lbs ready to ship
