So my new tactic is to skate around on my long board skateboard, keep a consistant 15mph pace, scope out areas then go back by truck if they are good.. We'll tonight I hit it nice, and I couldn't risk going back to get the truck, I wouldn't have been able to get this in there anyhow.

1981 Honda C70 3 spd moped/motorcycle that goes up to 55mph. The front brake is locked up so I put the front wheel on my longboard skateboard got the transmission to neutral and pushed this thing a few miles home:drozenski:.

It's a little rough, I really want to restore it and it would only cost a few hundred. I'd need a media blaster, and I found an aftermarket parts site I could get all the parts I need for ~$300. I just don't have the time or space I got two friends who may want to buy it at $100 since that's what I figure I can part a few things out for, and scrap the rest.

Looks to be a simple motor so you should be able to find parts from other things and make them work....simple motors have simple workings...makes them very easy to work on with alittle know how and a good mind.

Would make a nice pop around toy.

Nice find, would save alot of gas when your not scrapin. Hey use it for scrapin, you could post pics. of it loaded down with scrap.

Easy-the motor is knocked off by Chinese and used on a lot of Chinese dirt bikes. The panels,seat, and light kits all cost about 30 -60 bucks each. I could pull it off no problem but I got too many projects at the moment, that garage behind the scooter has 0 room just a path to get to my tool box.

Happy-I used to scrap on an electric scooter, I could def do it on this, but I really prefer the longboard. The other day I used it as a dolly to wheel home an aluminum/cast iron statutory fountain, have thrown tv's and even a washer on it one time.

After wrenching a few hours this thing has me wondering. The gas smelt bad and was orange in color the tank and cap are rusted out, luckily the fuel supply switch was in the off position however I opened up the carb and there was collected orange/metal crust inside the fuel diaphram so the carb might need a rebuild, the throttle pin was seized but I got that working. I put good fuel in and it wouldn't start. I'm getting a spark, but the plug is not working, I tried wire brushing it but I think I need a new one. The motor makes good compression, and the exhaust pipe, and oil makes me think it was running good before it got retired. I also tried to charge/jump the battery, because it has a push start, horn lights, etc and later realized there was a burnt out fuse, and also the ground had came off the battery because the connector corroded. This thing is going to be a money pit, it has to have a new gas tank and cap, 2 new tires, a new battery, a rear view mirror set and tail light set, as well as a new seat assembly. I could also use new fairings for the front but it is drive able without, and a few other unnecessary items.

you can take those carberators and gas lines and shut offs apart pretty easy and clean them up, might need some carb cleaner spray (not fuel injector or brake cleaner spray but carb). I'd try to clean that tank out somehow, or is it built into the frame? Reckon there's any simple way to get a new coat of something inside to reseal the tank? Hek, being what it is you might clean it out good enough and use it as is, might have to clean the carberator a few times along the way. Anything on that seat a good roll of duck tape won't fix? lol

I'm going to pick up a new spark plug, and throw some rocks in the tank tomorrow and see how clean I can get it, I might see if that tank sealer is cheap if so I will do that. The seat being tore up I don't mind but the seat frame is totally rusted out, and the only thing on the bike where the rust has gone past the surface.

JB weld if the tank has holes lol. And rocks work very well . My 250r dumpster 3 wheeler runs great all I did was patch the tank and clean it all out.I used a 1 gal gas jug as a tank for quite awhile looked redneck as heck but worked. Now and then I had to renew the duct tape tho lol.

Think how much faster you could get back to the truck once you spy an awesome score...and it has a basket too, it would be great for the small stuff.

I got the front wheel freed up the brake shoes were corroded onto the hub, and the bearings needed some cleaning and lube. I also got the engine running, I cleaned the gas tank out with scrap nuts, bolts, ferrite, and rocks it took about 2 hours it was full of rust and crud. I put in a new spark plug for $2.40 and she purrs nice now, revs smooth and no smoke.
Inspection won't be a problem I plan on having the electrical system working. The headlight should work, I got two front turn signals, and need to replace one of the rears, I have a brake light, need to replace 1 side mirror, and it even has a horn. The title may be the only problem but the nice thing is I know what houses curb this came from and I'm going to go by and get the address send a letter with a bill of sale and a self addressed stamped envelope back to me. If I can't get a title I will get a junker with a good frame and a title and I will Frankenstein the two.

in TN i was told easiest/quickest way to get a title was apply for "abandoned vehicle" Not sure about FL, but I'd say yours certainly applies

might be best though to go talk to them and tell them you were going to scrap metal it but thinking about trying to get it running again, and see if they'd let you have the title.

now you need to find a motorcycle trailer (think i'd avoid using a car hauler on it, at least startin out anyway )
