These are in a local on-line auction, and I am wondering if there is enough copper to make these worth purchasing?

Can't see pics u
can't get a good look. Be carefull when you can't see what your getting. 2nd one might just be an empty box.
In the second picture it is some type of dry transformer. It is in cased with some type of hard tar-like material.Very hard to clean. And it could be Au windings.I had some of these that I got a few years ago. Good luck
Hello in the first picture with out looking at them closer you might be able to sell them for copper bearing material.Or if you got time you could find a used electrial buyer.I see you are from waterford mi.Detriot area has a lot of used electrial buyers. Also H & H metals in inkster might buy it for copper bearing. I am from canton mi moving back their shortly to hot in Florida. Good Luck
I had a some boxes last week with a good amount of brass in them-the fuse holders they looked like stainless or alum, but was red brass under, those might be also in the first picture.
Scrapyaherd are you sure they were brass? Most of the ones I get are copper, you might want to check. just sayin
My mistake
look for silver contacts
looks like breakers and buss bars to me.in my experience with those things(recently redid one of my apt complexes all new breaker panels in each apt and house panels 366 apts 16 buildings) the breakers have copper and brass in them and the buss bars will be a coated/plated copper the lugs are either copper or aluminum. good luck dude
If those are the insides of braker boxes they have a lot of copper, like Hurrikane said plated just hit them with a grinder to see the copper. Hey Burly did you buy those, let us know how you made out.
No, they ended up going for more than I was willing to spend.
Smart Move
Sounds like all the storage auctions that We have gone to since the TV shows started

Looks like a copper transformer to me. Just make sure there are no PCB's in them and see what your local scrapyard will pay for them.
