Week of highs and lows
So a little off topic, i passed my Class B CDL road test today. Its great, but i got the results for my hoisting license and i failed the 4a test. I should have just taken the 4e that i need. Means my new job is not going to happen, but this leaves me to scrapping for my income.
Now this is the good, i got another lead on a older guy(hoarder) with a few cars on his property. Came from a middleschool kid who is trying to do some landscraping, and he knows me and that i am into scrapping.
Went to talk to them and it looks like i will be getting a 90's minivan and a RV trailer. Also got a riding mower, but i am going to let the kid have it, and help him fix it as a reward for referencing me. They said that they are happy to be rid of them and are not interested in getting paid.
Today i went and looked at a ford escort that was posted on CL for parts, I got there and it was in way better shape than expected, ended up driving it home for 250:D. I will put a clutch in it and use it as a beater/gas saver, and also as a way for my brother to learn to drive stick. Then i can scrap it and at least break even, but i see it selling for more.
I am now also shopping for an equipment or car trailer. Also on my mind is a rollback truck, preferably a 80's chevy with 6.2 diesel. Dont want to borrow a trailer every time i need to move a car.

THose chevy 6.2 are junk. Trust me you dont want to buy that thing. If your going to get an older truck look for mid to late 90's ford diesel. This is just my 2 cents of course.

I had an 80's 6.2, wouldn't wish that on anybody.

Haha ill take any you guys come up with
It is my money maker, my truck has not given any issues, and the working function of the 6.2 just makes sense in my mind vs a gasser that i never could grasp.
they are cheap and easy to work on, bolts up to any chevy trans, runs on WMO, the list goes on and on
