Wow. With all the work he did on that phone he deserves every bit of his asking price.

Guy's doing ok off them old phones :) wonder how many he's got, or how many more he might someday need. Reckon he's got an unlimited supply?
Beautiful phone, he put alot of work into it.
I see he's bought a few fixer-uppers too.
The fixer-uppers aren't too shabby price wise either.

Something to keep in mind.
Yeah CS, that's what I was getting at the first time, then Burly pointed out the amount of work and improvements he does on them. I picture him as an older, possibly retired telephone tech/engineer maybe with a great deal of experience with phones, as well as experience in obtaining parts and building his own boards, who is making a nice addition to his income by building/selling these. He most likely isn't the only one, just one I saw while browsing one day, shortly after a number of posts here about scrapping some old payphones, and thought posting an aspect of selling them for repairs or collecting. I had an old ringer telephone in TN that I'd gotten at a yard sale, and hooked it up to set on my front porch. I could walk to the mailbox down a driveway that curved through the woods, and hear that thing ringing down there, probably 150 yards away.
