Spa motor copper
I own a spa moving company. I often get motors working/non working. How much copper in is a spa motor. Any suggestions how to get the copper out of the metal casing ? I tried but was unable to remove the copper from the casing, it appears to have been pressing in and I could not knock it out. Maybe I can use a grinder to cut the casing and remove the copper. Any suggestions ?

I am sure someone on here will offer to buy them from you. It's kind of dangerous to do if you don't know what you are doing.

look into them.A lesson I have learned from experience is to pull the end cap and make sure that there is copper present and windings are not alum.I have done a few pool motors in the 1.5 horse range and the windings were copper.soft ride I noticed you are in Peoria az.If that would have been Peoria il. Then I would have been interested in buying them.Anyway need more info p.m. Me with a picture and I could further advise you.

i had something like that once, i dunno what it was, i thought it was a sump pump but like i said i don't know...anyway i just cashed it at electric motor price. Too much for me to deal with personally.
I believe it's bad for the enviornment to open up a sump pump? Didn't know that at the time, and if it is I apologize for my wrongdoings.

I really don't think it's bad GNR, as long as you dispose of the oil properly. I just put it in with used motor oil.
