I'm more low tech so no comment but yes I am forever grateful to Craig.

i run into that type of thing all the time... I would pass on them...leave a card and when he comes back to earth he can give you a call at 1.50:)
-
Tough one. You could probably still make at least $7 each. At 200, thats $1400 on a $1000 investment minus costs at minimum
-
i think he's trying to stick somebody there Scrappy

The ones with the cash makes the rules!

They were no more than $3.00 computers.

$5 is high but if he is really that firm this is what I would personally do. Visit him and break down one computer. Weigh everything and do a little quick math. As Jeremiah said there can still be a little money left in it even at that price.
My biggest concerns would be transportation costs and how much you will end up getting per lb for the MBs. How far is he? Would he deliver to you? Is your motherboard buyer local or are you going to have to ship and what are your prices? Depending on the answers to those questions the deal can either be good for you or a loser.

Thx everyone for the replies..after a phone call and a few emails I just figued to blow it off..I'm sure these guys were just trying to rip someone off for a quick buck...live and learn...to say the least it really excited me at 1st..I had the cash for my 1st purchase but didn't pan out...tackelberry from what I saw online was that these MBs aren't as large as the rest of mine n I'm quite certain the cpu contained metal..which according to one of our buyers is something like8.75 a lb..so thats where i drew the line..didnt even figure 5 bucks per after doing a little research...the way i see it they just wanted the cash without having to break em down fully n sell the remains..o well what's next??
