Frak me - I thought I was doing ok buying/selling on CL, storage auctions, and scrapping. She puts me to shame. Great for her. Going to show my daughter this video. Thanks a ton for posting it.
You have to see it from another point of view (not saying what she did is not an eye opener for some people but..) she did not have to put food on the table..did not have rent or monthly house payment, water, power, car/fuel (maybe if her mother and father charged her) so the money she was making she was able to save it all up. Being able to do that put her in a much better spot to "jump" on something when the time was right. As the video says and as she says her self the housing market crashed...she was SMART and jumped onto it for a few grand 6k from what I remember and took the house and then turned around and rented it out.Quote:

So taking all that into account...she had it pretty easy over us as we have many bills we HAVE to cover. But I will give her huge props for working hard and not spending the money like crazy on clothes, shoes, make-up and parting like other people that I know.

Everyone comes to the table with different baggage. It's how you fill your plate that matters and where you take it from there!
I'm impressed with this girl for alot of reasons.
Yes, one of the most advantageous times to make financial gain is while young and living at home because of having little to no expenses.
Many her age aren't interested in business or making money. Regardless, it takes ingenuity and ambition to move an idea to fruition.
Impressive she had the courage to go for something in her own way and accomplish it relatively early in life.
Just my opinion.

We need more youngsters out there with this type of ambition and discipline. Hopefully it all works out for her. She has a great start.
