Board Grade ID Please
I just got at least 15 Smart UPS battery backup units. Can anyone grade this board for me, please? I see one set of gold pins, also something that looks like a serial plug in (possibly gold plated?), but there are a lot of copper transformers and also relays. Both sides are green. If I had to guess, I'd say med, but I would need to pull the large heat sink off as well as the transformers.

Also, I am going to report back later with a couple pics of the boards that I pulled out of some gigantic Smart UPS units a few months ago.
Thanks guys!

I don't break mine down. I sell them whole. Battery and all. I feared my grade would end up being low grade, so I took 500#'s of UPS units and sold them for $0.26 a pound.

whats a ups unit....some kind of power supply ?
-
uninteruptible power supply. I has a lead battery in it along with charging circuits and such. When power goes out it gives you enough time to save whatever documents you are working on and such.

I would sell them at that price, but they don't have batteries in them. My yard would pay .19 a lb but I don't know that they would because there are no batteries. I can get the copper transformer, the wire, and the boards out to maximize profit. I just need to know how to sell these boards: As-is for breakage at my yard for .19 a lb (with the gold connector, copper, and AL all removed) or is the whole board worth something, as is?

I'm still saving these boards, I have no clue what to do with them.

I would consider them Power boards .55 cents a pound according to ARCOA with everything attached

Since shipping wouldn't be economical or profitable for these boards, what would you recommend? My yard buys boards as breakage (.19/lb), should I rip the copper, gold plate, etc, off of this board and sell it as breakage, or am I wrong and these ARE worth shipping?
I am actually in the process of preparing a shipment of computer boards and such to send to you. Oh, and computer power supplies: are those worth shipping?
Thanks!

If your only 3 hours away from him why not just save up those bigger items and take them with you? Like power supplies and those loaded boards. That would help pay for gas and the rest (computer stuff) would be your profit.

Power Board. You will always do better breaking down the UPS into components .vs selling as whole units. This is assuming you have a buyer within reasonable range.
