New member saying Hi.
Hello,
Been lurking around this forum for a while, finally decided to join.
A little background. I amom northeastern MN and currently scrap with both my brother and father. For the past few years I have been scrapping part-time (while finishing up my Masters degree) recently decided to make it my full time gig. Mostly, hauling prepared and unprepared steel. Trying to expand a bit into non-ferrous and ewaste.
I look forward to productive discussions with you.
Alex.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure there is much more to tell about a guy with a brand new masters degree going into the scrap business. My belief is there's a masters degree of scrap information available here in the old threads. The cost here is just how it takes to read them. Let us know how its goes with the new venture, Mike.

Hey Alex, wellcome to the forum. Yeah tell us more about your masters. Alot of e-scrap info on this forum, enjoy and keep reading, you never know what you'll find on this forum. Good luck

Thanks for the warm welcome.
Apologies for the late response was out in a job.
My master's degree is in mechanical engineering. Though what my research was in was image processing and augmented reality. There are a couple reasons why I changed fields. The first is that scrapping supported me throughout my years of schooling. Another reason was that I was tired of the bureaucracy in the education system.

When the Dr saw the plumbing bill he said, " I don't make this kinda money, and I'm a Dr!"
The plumber smiled and said, " I know, I didn't make that kinda money when I was a Dr either" ;)
Welcome to the forum Alex :)
