Days Profits Gone
Well my day just went in the crapper! Was at my local yard and hopped up in to the back of truck and wouldnt you know it my phone falls out of my pocket smashing the glass as it hits the ground. Talk about one pissed off guy! Just got done doing a claim for $99 replacment. Good thing is it will be here tomorrow.

thats why we have phone holsters ;)
-
i got a rugby 2, dropped it more times than i can count even in the mud, still ticking :)
-
Thats why I pay the 5 bucks a month for insurance.
-
I do also but you have to pay a deductable to replace.
-
My deductable is only $20 if phone broke and $40 if I lost it all together.
-
look into an otterbox case for it. Should run 15-40 depending your model phone and where you buy it from.

i have a black berry with outter box i have dropped it 20 feet up from an orderpicker i was working on it hit the ground bounced no damage at all
-
I have an outter box but i have been off for a few days and had taken it out of the case so it wasnt so bulky. I know i have no one to blame but myself but im still bummed.

I got the droid bionic back in Nov. and after dropping $400 into a dang phone, that was my very next purchase, an otterbox rugged, and let me tell you, best dang cell phone case/holster I've ever owned, it even has a built in screen protector (though I still have one of the stick on ones on the actual screen) This thing has a snap together plastic housing that is built like a tank, then a silcone layer that slips around the plastic housing to give some bump and jar protection, as well as light water protection, and then it came with a snap in belt clip that holds on the phone with a grip comparable to hungry alligator. Granted, this makes the phone quite bulky, but it has already saved my phone twice, plus the silicon cover makes an excelent non slip covering, I can lay it on the console of the truck and it doesn't slide off unless I'm trying to purposely make it do so. Like any business tool, my phone is as important for finding scrap as my truck is for hauling it, so I don't see paying $50 for a good cell phone protector any different than paying for insurance, brush gaurd, or what ever for your pickup.
