Hello all

Hi everyone, I'm from Dallas, TX, and currently not much of a scrapper. Up to this point I've only sold aluminum cans (UBC :D) every few months for 20~40 bucks.

However, as a long time computer hobbyist and go-to repair guy for family and friends, I've amassed a good little chunk of "e-scrap" in my garage. People dump stuff on me all the time. It just recently occurred to me that I might actually have enough to pocket a little cash. My online researching results have been kind of sparse, and some of the best information I found on these forums, so I cannot wait to ask you experts for some pointers!

Welcome to the forum, there is a lot of information already in the threads and posts. Use the search feature, just make sure you use more than three letters in the box. Check out the electronics and video links on the forum. This is where I found the most info on e-scrap. Good Luck and hope your stash = cash.

One of our forum buyers is in Dallas and he is very generous with ewaste recyling information. We also have others around the country that you can ship to. There's lots of free info just for the reading so look throught the old threads. Also welcome to the forum, Mike.

I saw easyrecycle's thread and website and am very excited to have found a recycler near by with solid prices.

I was expecting to have to Ebay a lot, and was going to ask around for a ballpark price to expect, but this is much easier and I am very pleased!

Digging through all this crap in my garage is a pain, and I'm hoping I can round up enough for it to be worth the effort.

I have a lot of stuff that's in a fuzzy ground between obsolete scrap and functional old stuff someone might buy for more than I could scrap it, but making Ebay listings for things that go for 5 bucks is such a PITA, I might just scrap it all anyway.
