Sell my "tin" as "iron"? I wish they'd let me do that.
Yes, some yards call it "light iron" (less than 1/8").
I seperate as much as possible and when it makes sense time wise. Get docked if too much tin in prepared. Sold on January 13, 2012. 200/ton on unprepared/tin; 260/ton on prepared. Prepared in this yard is 18" x 3' or smaller
Oh, I see now. It's that yard "slang thang" again. My bad. I try to separate my iron (sheet metal/tin, light iron, prepared/short iron) as much as possible. Not sure on current prices at the moment, but it's usually a pretty decent difference.Quote:

A lot of them are a Tin/Lead alloy but sometimes they are all Tin.
