If I in fact had 100 or more computer crt's to give away free, as well as a steady supply (around 50 per month) would anybody be interested to come and get them? I live in Southwest Colorado (Montrose)

I wish to far for me :(
Do you mean monitors. Nobody here would walk across the street for CRT's alone.
I think Hoss might be interested in them, lol
I personally have plenty just sitting waiting.
If you sent them to me i will take as many as you can throw at me. I'm in Idaho.
Hoss don't forget your Shock Doctor Titan Alloy Flex Sports Cup!
Just remember to connect your ground strap to it!

Yes, CRT monitors. I own a non profit computer supplier for kids, and I tend to collect alot of monitors. I know they are popular with scrappers
I have a few hundred CRT TVs and monitors.
I try to have people come out and tear them down for me.
I let them keep the coils and yokes and I get everything else.
You guys clean the aluminum and copper off of your boards?
Seems too costly in time and effort.
Unless there's a trick I've yet to discover.
Also, is there a market for the flyback transformers?
If this was covered elsewhere, sorry.
First post...
I'm excited to have found this place.
some yards will pay these as copper bearing. Ask your local yard.
We throw our smaller motors and smaller transformers and flybacks all in together and our yard buys them.Quote:
