hello there I had a well known thrift store drop off 24 gayloard boxes of tv's today. So I contacted a e-wast recycler in the tucson area. what they are asking for is for us to take the tv apart an sell them the curcit board with all the wires and almumanin still on it for .o4 cents a pound is this a bad deal should they be paying more thanks dependable metal recycling and hauling
Take the wire, Alum, and what ever copper off. They are worth more a LB than a circut board

You still get the degaussing cable, and the flyback, which is nice.
Any e-scrap buyer i have dealt with offers between 10, and 18 cents a pound for lowgrade. (Low grade are usually the TV boards, and some other crappy electronics). But the buyer ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wants it cleaned off. So NOTHING really on the board. These guys want you to give them all the goodies, but for a way lower price.
Find a different e-waste guy.
I agree, some guys are getting the good stuff off and throwing the boards in their shread(steel) pile, so their getting .10-.12 lb

I have been mailing my low grade board to the cash for gold guys minus all the copper and aluminum and still get 5 cent per pound, plus they pay shipping.
Why would you do that when you can take it to a local yard for .08-.12 per lb as shred ?

find some microwaves, filing cabinets, any container, not that i condone hiding stuff in a load, they take low grade boards in VCRs, stereos, etc. not like you are putting a brick in your load.Quote:

I found small e-waste recycler with a 0% landfill guaranty and they are offering .30 if I take all wires off and the aluminum I thank I am go to go with them because I still have to pay to get reed of the glass tubes.
Cowboy that sounds like a great plan. Better than any price i've gotten for lowgrade.
