Did a little research and found that the removable cords for a lot of old appliances have some value on ebay. Folks like to use vintage/retro pans, coffee pots, waffle makers, etc but lots of them have lost their cords over the years and they sell for $10-15 each on ebay. Especially the cloth covered cords seem to sell for well above their scrap value.

Yes, I have sold both hot plates and cloth cords on Ebay.
The plastic/bakelite handles are something to look at also. Sold the handles off of an old Westinghouse roaster before, they bring around $10-$15 usually. Many times they're broken or cracked.
You used to be able to get $20 plus for a corning coffee pot cord, seems to have mellowed down to the $10 range now. But hey, folks will sell them to you for a buck.
good to know. I havn't seen and vintage cords lately. But i just got a vintage olive colored GE stone i pulled the knobs aluminum side panels where the knob are and the door glass. I think I'm just going to sell them all together. Also got a late 70's standup GE freezer pulled the door off for the handle along with the door the door latch temp knob and some aluminum pieces for the shelves debating on seeing the whole door.
