Ohio scrapper here
I'm new to the forum. I've been a garbage picker my whole 44 years of life. Got started in scrapping when I turned in a bag of aluminum cans and got some money. I went full time with it about a year ago. Six months ago I got a job at a scrapyard. Now I'm trying to take it to the next level. I am able to buy anything from my work at the price my boss sells the scrap to the big people for. I can get electis motors at about $.30 a pound. My wife wants to sit home and break them down while I'm at work. She can do a couple an hour. I can also get irony. I want to buy these by the gaylords, take them home, break them done and then turn it all back in. Hopefully it will work out and I can eventually be able to go part time and work at home breaking down stuff. Here's hoping.

If your yard buys computers for shred buy them and break them down. Do some more reading here to find more about ewaste. Also we have members who buy ewaste. Best of luck, Mike.

Welcome to the board! I'm new here too but also native to Ohio. In fact, out of Columbus. Just out of curiosity, which yard do you work for? We should defiantly talk some time and share ideas.
