New Scrapper in Georgia
Hello Everyone. I am originally from NY. I have been here in Georgia for 8 years Now. I am 35 married with 3 sons. For the last 1 &1/2 yrs I have worked at night, While my wife worked during the day. This allowed me to be there in the daytime to take care of my 2 youngest sons. I have recently left my job. But I still need to be there for my sons during the day. So I hope scrapping will be the avenue where I can make enough money to not have to be bound to a job at night. And I am totally NEW to this industry. So all help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am a hard worker and if the money is there to be made, I will succeed! Thanks Leonard

Welcome to the forum. Best advise is to read the old posts. There is a lot of very valuable information, with a cost of time reading. Next I would say that tearing things apart is a great teacher and clarifies much of what is written here. So read some, do some, learn alot.
You sound determined so I expect to hear good things comming from you. Best of luck, Mike.

You found a good place to start. I have also had luck taking parts to my local scrap yard and asking them tips. They are very helpful. I am sure it can be different from yard to yard. Best of luck to you. Welcome new Scrapper!

Hey Leonard, you've come to the right spot. You'll spend countless hours on here...or at least I do most times. Whereabouts in GA are you? I live in Sharpsburg, about 30 minutes south of Atlanta.
