Picked up about 300' of underground service wire early this morning and then went and got an old 1950's era Amana freezer. Good amount of copper in it. Good copper in the UG wire as well as aluminum.

I scrapped 2 fans, a motor, a fridge compressor, various electric stuff & worked it up to 4 Kg+ (8.8Lb) of Copper.
Took it in & it came up as 5Kg (11Lb) on the scales & I got ~NZ$35 (US$28)
Thats what I have to spend this weekend (food etc) & it paying for my internet fees as I type...
Damm....here in the US $28 would just about get you and wife/gf a dinner...you got a dinner and paid the cable bill...sweet.Quote:
