office phone systems
Is there anythign worth salvaging out of an old office telephone system, I mean the phones themselves. I thought I read somewhere that someone was willing to buy them as scrap but cant find it in the search. May have been an e-scrap buyer web page though.

Some old office phone systems have good circuit boards in them and others don't. It really depends on what kind of system it was. On many of the systems that I have scrapped I have noticed that there is a board with gold contacts under the keypad. If it is a really high dollar system then there could be more than one good board. My best advice is to crack one open and see what it holds. It is hard to tell from the outside what is good and what is bad.

A lot of the office phones systems are mostly plastic and and green board. Certain systems and phones have good resale value as there are many company who buy them for the purpose of refurbishing them. For example Avaya/Lucent Partner ACS phone systems and Partner 18 and 18D phones are hot right now and have good resale value.
