Got an email from a guy I've gotten stuff from before that he had "a little mixed metal" for me. These were part of the load. Didn't ask him what these were from. Wish I had. Do you know what they are and what's inside the tubing?

Another view. I cut off a 4" piece and opened it up. You can see the piece I cut off in the lower-right of the coil. Inside was copper. The 4" piece of copper weighed half a pound.http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/...4/Coils008.jpg

Mick that dryer motor laying in the back of your truck, give the windings a scratch test through one of the vents, if it's aluminum toss it into breakage.
There were a bunch of motors and transformers that need to be scratched - about 15 all together. I just threw them to the side till tomorrow. There's actually a second compressor hiding behind the one in the picture.Quote:
