Irene
So hurricane Irene will be passing right over the house about 2 AM Sat morning. I think I have everything tied down and plenty of food and water...
Now is it bad that I can help but to think about all the metal that may be laying around... Certainly wouldn't like it if it was my metal tho. i.e.- My Roof
Anyone else looking to be affected by Irene?
-
Wish we where getting that storm here.....we need the rain badly.
-
be careful what you ask for folks....I'm just praying that all it brings is rain.
-
I will bro. Easy, we have been in a bad draught also. I feel for the farmers..ugh
-
Yeah people are going crazy by me. They are buying so many flashlights. Who doesn't own a flashlight? I'm hoping just for rain too.
-
Glad you checked in DDH...Pray for the best and expect the worst. Keep us posted and good luck!
-
Yep, just keep your head down, and we'll see ya when it blows thru,,

I'm about 15-20 minutes outside of Phila. Weird stuff has been happening the last few weeks. Felt the earthquake pretty heavy here. It woke me up out of a dead sleep. Now this hurricane, oh well cant do anything about it. Hope the electric doesn't go out, i love my a/c when I'm home. The only thing I have to do is put gas in the truck......it's gonna hurt $3.29 x about 30 gallons, i'm around a 1/4 tank. I hope everyone stays safe and well.
-
We'll be thinking and praying for all of our forum friends up there tomorrow.
-
Thx guys! Looks like it's breaking down a little as it moves towards land. Fingers crossed. Got gust of around 40 here now. And lots of rain.
-
My god, tried to buy some D batteries today for our flashlights, people went crazy. Not a D cell in either lowes or HD. Had a buddy getting married tomorrow, down the shore, they evacuated the town and closed the parkway, wedding cancelled. Crazy stuff

To everyone in her path stay safe and good luck to you. Post if you can, to let us know how it is going.

I'm just barely out of the projected path (dead center of NY, but about 15 minutes from the PA border). Good luck to everyone in the path.
-
DC area is also preparing for the worse... just days after the scaring earthquake which jolted us pretty bad.
Best wishes to all
