There is a date stamp on it, Jun 1982.. Googling the part number doesn't come up with anything..
any help is greatly appreciated..

Are you sure these are original to the box? Reason I ask is I cannot find any information on these wheels. I did a search for every single wheel type that is listed on the side of the box and nothing came up that looks like those wheels. They could be wheels that were just put into those boxes for safe keeping. Are there any numbers or anything like that on the wheels themselves? Like on the back mounting area or around the lip of the wheel? I'd say these are definitely worth more than scrap value regardless of maker but having a positive ID for them would be helpful in selling them. Let us know!
Im not sure but I can tell you two things.
First, shelby and dodge started to work as partners in 1982. That is shelby built hipo dodge cars.
Second, check out this link. it is the same style as yours, but a 4 lug pattern.

I'd say both are close but no cigar. The VW forum wheels are the closest but the mounting area is different. Junkwerks' wheels have a flat surface while these have the lug holes cast into the spoke area. Mick's post to the wheels site is what originally popped into my head when I saw this. But the Enkei's are a flat wheel while this one is recessed between the lip and the mounting area and the Enkei's don't have the fake Allen head screws around the perimeter. My guess is that these are probably original Shelby wheels but were not standard equipment on any cars of the era. Just like an aftermarket thing. dryvr12 is right about Dodge partnering with Shelby in the early eighties. I looked up the Shelby Lancer wheel and came up with this: http://www.turbododge.com/forums/f7/...er-wheels.html Looks close but still a little different. I'd put them on ebay and see what happens!
I agree with forwardlookguy start them at the price you would get for scrap and the rest is bonus, make sure you have the buyer pay for shipping.
