Does anyone know if there are EPA or DOT requirements for transporting batteries? I would imagine it is above a certain weight or quantity.

Inter- or intra- state?
Intra for the most part
Then check your State statutes for storing and transporting hazardous waste. For interstate transport and Intrastate highways that are controlled by EPA and DOT (technically all roadways, but...), check this out: http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text....0.1.1.3.4.1.1
guy "Yea...all 400 batteries came out of my cars that I all own"
Cop "could you show me all the titles"
guy "hmmm they all came from this truck...it eats batteries"
Cop "oo ok..well have a good day sir, good to know I don't have to take them in as evidence"
