Galvinize Roofing
A case of beer gave me salvage rights on the lean to addition, I;m going to use the galvanized roofing on my leaking garage roof, yesterday I removed all of the screws with the exception of the last row near the edge.
Then using the sawsall cut through the poles that support the roof half ways through then pulled the roof down to ground level by having removed the screws this allowed the tin some freedom of being damaged,
The roof itself rests on 2"x12" by 20ft, I need some 2"x6" by 8 ft so some will be ripped then into sizes for what I need, then there's going to be a lot of surplus that I'll use the replace the deck that the previous owner of my house had removed per the sales agreement.

The hell with the roof, sold the tin before it made it home, $1500.00 buys a lot of beer.

You might take the 1,500 and use it to buy fresh material for the deck. The framing should be pressure treated. Make sure to space the sill plate for the deck .... where the deck attaches to the house .... a few inches away from the house. Anything else will rot out the sill of the house in a few years.
I know of a few places where decks were built of framing lumber. They lasted a few years and then bad things started happening. Decks collapse ... people get hurt ... lawsuits follow. Framing lumber doesn't weather very well. It rots out in no time.

Thanks for the sound advice Hills, after three days of working at getting the planks loose I'm ready to abandon the project. The farmer put in way to many cross support bracing not easily accessible and the upper edge is still attached to a wall
If today's plan does not work, I'm going to drop a long cable through the top end between planks then attach that end to the truck big loop hopefully as I drive out the cable will rip out the braces.
I only need six planks eight feet long to complete my garage project at home so its no big deal to abandon the rest.
I'm insulating my garage with paneling and better lights in preparation of opening a small fix it shop.

After morning coffee came up with another plan, I'm going to offer the new guy in Elphinstone a share to dismantle the rest of the roof.
