i found these in some old aircraft parts that i picked up from a small airport near me.
they look like they contain more than the usual amount of silver that you find in electrical stuff.
i dont have anyone to sell this sort of stuff to - so i just end up dumping it with my copper or brass.
i suspect i must have thrown away altogether a few pounds of silver in all the years ive been scrapping.

Appears to me to be silver. I suggest selling them to buyers of silver. I don't know your area for markets. One thing that I believe is very important is that heating up these silver contacts can be dangerous. It depends on what other materials it contains, beryllium comes to mind. I know there were other threads that contains the information or just do some online research.
I would not be selling these as brass they would be saved up until I could find a proper market. 73, Mike
Nice contacts, they might contain a small of amount of cadmium, which is also present in many silver solders if your going to heat the buttons to remove them just do it outdoors. Depending on what these were used for they may also contain platinum / iridium or even palladium alloyed with the silver.Quote:
