Truck bed sides and back window protection setup idea's needed

Hey, What's up fellow scrappers.

I have a question or two .

what do you use for bed sides on your pickups to be able to cram more scrap into the back of your truck ?

what do you use to protect your back window from getting busted when the truck's being loaded ?

I have some idea's but would be interested to see what you've come up with that might be better than my ideas , pictures of your setups would be greatly
appreciated and a big help , I found some pic's of scrap truck setups doing a google search that were linked to this site but I couldn't find them in our forum when I tried searching

It aint pretty but it works... on my old white tacoma I kept them on all the time.... but now on my new one only put them on when I need them

What KSS posted works as will the steel side mounts from a stakebed. For window protection I recommend careful driving and loading/unloading if you wanna do it cheap. Otherwise 1/16" steel lattice works great

Heres my set up. Its made from old futons.

I like Kss's idea. Use them when you need them or go into incognito mode lol

For rear window protection, I just have a 4' x 4' piece of 3/4" plywood. When I'm empty, it just lays in the back of the truck. When I am transporting a load, I stand it up to protect the window. It doesn't look pretty, but it works.

Thanks for the compliment! Lol.... I think they turned out pretty good for me throwing them together in 5 mins with materials I had laying around.... And then come on/off in under 3 mins.... Just 4 bolts

Thanks greytruck I like how those look , a scrapper I watch on Youtube used the two end frame pieces for the sides on his truck I've been thinking about doing that but now seeing how you used pieces from old futons I like your way better it look awesome Thanks again for the help
