Low grade circuit board questions

I am in the process of scrapping out about 50 CRT monitors. Given the large transformers on them, I would like to break those off and sell them separately. Will companies that take circuit boards mind if I break them apart to get the transformers and aluminum off of them?

Generally speaking most companies don't want broken boards. I know the ones I deal with don't want broken boards. I don't know they doc me for it, but they do mention it.

Find out what the company you're working with is paying, and contact me, if I can't beat it I can direct you to someone who can.

I haven't dealt with the company yet, but the price that I have gotten is $0.11/Lb. I need to contact them anyways to set up an account (Their primary business is as precious metal refiners and I am a jeweler in real life).
