Hello MaineDave, I see that you are new and this is your first post. Not to discourage you in any way, you might want to review the rules of this forum and post an intro to yourself in that section. This is a wonderful forum to be apart of and everyone respects the rules that the Admin has stated for the forum.
You might also want to search the older threads for your answer. We don't talk to much about refining here. There is a forum just for that and I believe it's called Gold Refining Forum, GRF, or something like that.
You are asking a pretty tricky question and with this your first post here, you might not get a serious answer without posting a little bit about your scrapping life first, and not to take offence to it, but some history about it. We have all done it and the serious ones that are here to stay would also agree. We all like to know how serious you are about your work.
As far as refiners, I can't help you. I get product, dismantle said product, sell sorted product, start over. And that is what almost all here do.
