I have been through several hurricanes and tropical storms in the past. This one has me scared. I woke up last night at three worried about all the things I hadn't secured. The back porch has been made into an interior room... actually Florida glass (which is named so the can charge a ton for tinted vinyl) and I realized that with predicted wind speeds, my new "interior" porch into an arboretum. The neighbors fence is sketchy, the bath window needed a cover, blah blah blah... Bath window covered first thing. Generators fired up and tested. cord adapter checked for compatibility. The back porch was haunting me. The neighbor steps up and asks what I needed for plywood to cover. Six pieces of ply have now covered the two exposed window walls. Tomorrow if the weather isn't too bad yet I may try to slap a couple boards on the shop windows.
