vacuum hose
Spring bug bit me, cleaning out the shed, making my "to do" piles. I had around a dozen vacuums I broke down for motors and wire. I was messing around with the canister style vacs and noticed that the 3 wires running through the hoses are a heavy gauge solid conductor.
Has anyone had any luck or even bothered to cut / strip vacuum hose wire ?? even for science? worth it?
BTW, The digital push button heads have a nice mid grade board.

Get your magnet out and check them. I believe I've seem both solid copper and copper coated steel. If they are solid copper, check with your yard, they may buy them ad insulated copper wire.

As an aside many parts from vacuums do sell on ebay. Mike

Found this out a few years back. The hose i had was copper coated steel. So i never bothered with them again. Saw a guy take one out of my garbage can one morning.

Yep , I just confirmed, copper covered steel. Checked all i have with a magnet. Shred pile for all these.
