New To E Scrap- Looking for some insight on my inventory

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this site and actually just started in scrapping electronics. I have put together a pretty diverse load of recovered electronic devices and components and was hoping to get some feed back on what each is worth and how i can get the best return on each item. For example i recovered a dishwasher someone was throwing out. It turns out it works fine; so should i bring it to an appliance refurbisher, craigslist ad, scrap yard? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

The individual items are;

Apple Products
-Iphone 6 (cracked screen)
-Iphone 4 (cracked screen)
-2 apple ear buds (new in package)
-Macbook power cord (doesnt work, split wire)
-ipad (works fine)

-assorted computer wires (i read somewhere that computer wires can go for .40/lb
-christmas lights
-2 hari dryers, curling iron
-Epson printer/copier
-Canon fax/printer
-2 Keurig machines
-6 assorted lithium batteries
-Google Chromecast ( broken)
- CoolFire 4 (vaping mod)
-verizon bluetooth headset (new in box)
- Mophie iphone charger
- Kodak digital camera 12.2 megapixel
-Sony cassette walkman
-Samsung handheld digital camera
- 3 dvd players; toshiba, JVC, sony (new in box)
-Polariod digital picture frame
-Eee mini laptop
-Asus Mini laptop

-Kenmore miniature space heater
-brookstone automatic wine oper (in box)
Protor Silex steam iron
-3 random tv remote controls
- 2 3' sony speaker towers (never used)
-Dell Vostro 200 computer
-Mac Performa 5200 CD (old looking computer monitor)
-Kenmore dishwaser (still working)
-Cuisinart food processor
-Hunter celing fan- (completely in tact)

I know some of the items i listed are probably worthless, but i'm hoping to use the feedback i get here to help me better understand where the value is in escrap and how i should be focusing my efforts.

All of the answers you seek are in the old threads. I'd probably list the Apple stuff for sale on ebay.

New in box, still works items sell for more than scrap, Apple products as well. Other than that the lowest you could expect is sheet iron (shred) price almost $.03 a pound here.

A lot of it is situational. It helps to go through the old threads but then you have to put the time in and figure out what works best in your particular location.

In general terms: Most folks aren't looking to buy used or broken electronics. The trend, over the years, has been from large to small. It used to be that a computer tower was the standard thing that people used but then they went to laptops, then to tablets, and then to the micro devices like i phones.

The smaller things like the laptops and tablets aren't particularly long lived. People buy them new. They last for two to four years years. When they eventually break people throw them in a drawer somewhere and then go out and buy the latest technology with all of the new features.

The apple products are a little bit of an exception to the rule. They've got snob appeal. They're pretty expensive to buy new, so there's a segment out there that's looking to buy something used that's in good working condition.

Much as anything it's all trial and error though. After awhile, you'll get a sense of what things might sell and what things should go straight to scrap. You might find that consumer grade electronics that were manufactured more than a few years ago can be hard to find a buyer for.
