I've been watching the "Public Surplus" web-site where local and state govs can get rid of some of the stuff in their possession. Most won't ship even with adding an extra cost, the South Dakota guy does. Anyway, I've marked specific categories in neighboring states to flag me when an auction get close to being done (or in this case, I guess, closes with no bids). It would have to be a seriously good deal for me to drive a 200-300 miles to buy something but a guy never knows.

This showed up Christmas Eve with no bids. I think this same "Terry" stripped a bunch of ram out of machines (like 80 pieces) and did pretty well. He probably thought he also clean up on these but no one would bite even to drive across town. "Terry", welcome to the more complete world of ewaste, its all not ram prices!!

Yeah, they just don't know. I am often surprised by the starting bids on some items. They also don't seem to consider that you have to add the buyer's premium and sales tax. Plus time is money.

I buy surplus all the time and the problem with the listing is there is just not enough material to go gather........Truckload minimum on scrap Trailer load even better........

I'd give him 2 dollars for the lot only if he delivered it to my front door.

From a shear scrap point of view, and only if you were in the vicinity or passing near it, I would pick them up in a heartbeat. 20 expansion cards that size would bring roughly, in my estimates, each would weigh probably roughly 3-4oz a piece so around 7 pounds of "finger boards" @ $3.55 you should more then double your profit at around $24.85 give or take a dollar or two. To me, that's worth it. Some people will only do sales, online or otherwise, if they make a certain amount, or sell for a certain amount. I don't. A dollar is a dollar, and all those dollars and cents add up especially after a years time. To each his own, I'm just giving my .02.....
