Variable Frequency Drives, PLCs and Large Circuit Breakers and other stuff...
I rarely post, but lurk several times a week. I tried the search function, but didn't find a lot pertaining to my questions. Anyway...
Do any of you have experience scrapping variable frequency drives (VFDs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and large (400 Amp) circuit breakers? Is there any thing in particular I should watch for aside from the usual suspects; copper, aluminum, transformers, etc??? Any idea what grade the boards will be? I know the circuit breaker will have some silver contacts. Are the silver colored copper bars also silver or do they just have a tinned coating similar to tinned copper wire? Thanks for any insight.
I should start another thread, but I have couple more quick questions I just remembered....
Do any of you have yards that pay a separate price for thermocouple wire?
Do any of you know of buyers for silver contacts aside from ebay? I'm probably going to accumulate a couple pounds including the weight of the copper in short order.
One more. A long time ago I remember someone looking to buy old industrial valve handles. Anybody remember who that was?
