Copper rounds
Wile the acount i use indicates recent joining
08-09-2011 was my real join date and a wonder many of us used to discuss was
the ridiculousness of the copper round
I used to figure to buy a little just for the heck
what harm.
Well if you use Ebay as a guide
the sellers seem to be getting $50- to $60 for 100 oz lots.
Yet to buy from the mints the prices are firm at $95 to $100 per 100 lots
A loss on ebay is going on now , to be figured as you please

they must be selling grandma's rather from her passing, or from the pawn shop (HOT!) is unknown, but that is how there is a profit... not paying for them originally I see the same think with "german silver"

Remember that many people don't see those as scrap. I have a few series of copper rounds that I think are beautiful. For one set I paid $3 each and there were 50 of them. That is roughly $48 per pound. These fall under the numismatic category.

I don't see them as more than fun I have a few thousand rounds and bars now and its just for fun like zombucks and giant pennies and so forth but there is good resale in trade and flee markets and such and if there comes ever a day this is used as a currency than I am golden I mean copper lol
