non-ferrous inching up!!
I took in a very small load on the way to work Weds. morning to my favorite nf guy. I got $1.61 a pound for #2 Cu and 50 cents a pound for #2 insulated wire. Considering it was $1.25 and 35 cents a pound in November, I can live with those numbers. Just find more!!

I wish it would inch up a little more here.
I checked the price of shred today and it's gone from $50 a ton last week to $80 this week.

i mostly do scrap cars. i had a few dozen batteries hoarded and wanted the best price i could find. after a bit of research i found a place in manhiem pa (not far from harrisburg) paying $.24 per lb. all they do is lead and lead acid batteries, and you can also buy reconditioned batteries for around $35 with warranty. i don't know how you guys feel about advertising businesses here so i will not mention the name of the place. i figure between google and the info provided its a no-brainer. they were super easy to deal with and not the least bit shady, which is always a plus.

haven't checked the markets in southern maryland we've been hoarding for a bit here
On the plus side the bins we're using are doing great to handle the stuff broke down keeping it seperate and ready for the market.
I think we're in a stronger position for a bit better price with being able to sell a very large tonnage of seperate items at one time.
