i was walking my dogs through high field seen alot of scrap like pool ladder, pair auto spring parts, etc. i even found a mower pushed under some evergreens. while checking for a location to a house that has scrap i decided to scroll down that way and see if i could see that scrap i found. it was np spoting it all. im start using this way to check places like that for scrap.

It's a translator program. Problem with that is slang. All languages develop slang in a home brew sort of way that doesn't flow with any specific rules. Without verbs and a way to cojugate them, you get the dribble we read here. It is now put to you, the reader, to decipher this language we call "Typonese".

yeah lol so anyways. if there a spot you want to check out but don't want to walk it try that google map.
only problem with that is the google sat. maps only get updated like once a year or so.
true thats why it may be better to scan dead ends and brush areas where people dump with out being seen.
This would be a good idea but as mentioned above the pictures dont get updated enough.
Out here in the sticks, the sattelites only zoom in to about a mile up, and the pictures are at least 5 years old :/.
Yeah but you do know that google maps images are atleast 2 years old

We moved in here in '06. It immediately started looking like a 10 acre wrecking yard. Google maps still don't show it.
I use Google Maps to target the dead ends that will most likely be used as dump sites. While I don't expect to spot actual metal using this method I find it helps me eliminate a lot of driving and looking so I can focus on picking up and hauling instead.
In my area, on the county website you can look for the owner of any property if you have the address, which google maps usually provides. This way you can contact the owner of the property where the scrap is at to ask if it is still there and if you can go get it. I always get permission first, because I don't like being shot at. Another avenue you can use (its kindof a dirty trick though) is if the scrap is in city limits and violates city code, you can turn the person in, wait until the city violates them, then offer to remove the scrap at no charge.
