Ginseng the green gold
I know a few people that grow ginseng and sell the roots on ebay. They pay very good money. Depending where you live you may have it growing in your back woods. Someone could setup a good income for years to come. Grows back every year. Follow harvest seasons laws and replant seeds off plants. You can also buy the seeds on ebay and grow your own.

From seed it takes about 2 yrs just to sprout if I remember right.
Had a patch years ago my dad planted, used to hunt with him when I was in my teens, patch was about 4 yrs old and just getting nice little red berries when the neighbor tore it up with his lawn tractor. He was happy to do us a "favor" and cut the grass on the hillside. 8-l
I should plant some again.
Ever try selling morels or sheephead (manitake) copycat?
Used to be restaurants that bought them, not sure if they still do now. Now those I don't have as much of a problem finding.

Picked morels near Dawson City in the Yukon had the best time of my life. To dry my mushrooms put them into a heavy plastic garbage bag taping the opening tightly around a hose connected to a vacuum port on the manifold.
Black bag for heat, assisted vacuum drying and no UV rays from the sun, I had the nicest dried morels you ever seen or tasted.
This lady has class, after her brother died from an accident she continued to pay his child support then one day she and her son were driving to Whitehorse when her son who was driving had a seizure the truck went off the road.
She was parlised from waste down prisoner to a wheel chair for nine years she never once felt sorry for herself, bought a laptop and wrote some children's books which have been published. About five years ago they operated on her back and she is now fully mobile.
She is the reason I would like to return to the Yukon.
