A scrap from the past!
Hi all, new to this forum but not to the world of scrap or scrap metal.
I haven't been active in scrapping since my late teens helping my uncles business, Clift Excavation and Demolition. I understand the basics, but have run heavy equipment, (Cat Dclass dozers, and my fav, a john deere 310se extender hoe). I actually stumbled onto this site by accident while looking for a way to rid myself of a car that isn't really scrap, but isn't something I want to deal with anymore. I worked in the automotive industry (For a company called Corghi, comparable to Hunter, Coats and Bosch) and have done warehousing/logistics most of my life, along with being a professional musician at the same time. Yes I do burn the candle quite brightly at both ends. I like to learn things, so I thought I'd chime in and let everyone know I'm here and to say sorry in advance if I have absolutely no clue on certain scrapping subjects. Cheers from Cincinnati.

Greetings from Wyoming! There's no need to be shy here- we're a welcoming family that's always glad to offer up our knowledge and tips.
If you want car scrapping knowledge, I'm not going to be your best brain to pick. There are plenty here that know a lot more than I do. We had a thread about donating vehicles a week or two ago that may help some: http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/day-l...-donation.html
Welcome to the family!
