Just checking in!
Figured I'd see what was going on.
Glad to see some people are still at it with the drop in prices. I need to gather up a load to take in before the snow flies so my wife will quit hounding me about my mess :(
Have still been getting some stuff here and there, just looking at things I haven't been able to pass up. I've also been doing a lot more buying/selling than scrapping. Hitting the flea markets for flipping things, mostly "man stuff". tools, fishing, hunting, camping stuff.
I did end up with a couple dozen pewter figurines that I bought for the display case from an online auction that I had the intent to scrap. After a little research I taught my wife how to use eBay so she can do it too. Ended up profiting about a grand on a $24 investment
I do think I can make a lot more money working than I can scrapping, and the buying/selling game is quite hit or miss depending on quality and prices at the flea markets. so that cashflow isn't very steady. Good thing I got a sweet gig as a foundry process engineer.
Hope everyone is doing well!

indeed with the price drop and people flaking out again and again its opening up so much more for me than I ever expected this year has been the year of amazement and money. I had to add yet another 10by20 storage locker for space as with people winning and being lazy not picking stuff up I am getting windows, copper, grills, mowers, pots and pans and so much in droves its turning stressful just trying to keep up but help will soon arrive as I have 2 people finally lined up to work for me part time.
glad your having fun and got a good job to bring in the dough maybe it will give ya the chance to hoard only high value items until the rebound in prices which may not be for awhile but gold is gold and copper is too lol

Ha, not quite. I tend to just hoard hunting and fishing stuff... And off road parts.
