My current scrap load. Suggestions?
Greetings
I stumbled into these forums after searching for companies that buy sorted e-waste. After lurking and reading several threads, I realized that dealing privately and/or locally is sure to pay-off more than shipping my waste off to some company.
Anyways...
Here is what I have:
- Approximately 80 Pentium 4-era complete desktop computers each with 1-2 dimms of ram, hard drive, optical drive, floppy, drive, cpu, motherboard, power supplies, all cables, etc...
- Approximately 30 15-17" CRT monitors.
- An assortment of old expansion cards (NICs, video cards, etc.)
- 1 Dell PowerEdge 1750 server. Not sure how many CPUs or RAM, but its friggin' heavy. I'm sure the majority of the weight of worthless.
- Maybe a few hundred pounds of random cables: Parallel, serial, power
Any ideas?
I've begun stripping down the desktops and removing all electronics from the cases. Not sure if the cases have any value.
I'm not interested in scrapping as a full or part time job, I'm just interested in getting whatever I can from my employers collection of old electronics! Thanks!!!
