Me versus the Toys
Did a house clean out two weeks back. Got lots of junk and broke electronic toys in a box....remote control cars, broken remote controls etc. I've been away from scraping for a while so I figured a nice re-entry with some stupid electronics... WTH!!?? These things had more screws than... well... they had a ton of screws! Made in China nothing. Things toys were built well! Lots of small green boards and silly wires, nothing worth anything but I had to be true to my word with my daughter... Metal = Money. I keep all the tiny screws and metal parts. It passed the time and my daughter helped. It was nice to hear a 7 year old know the difference between ferrous and non-ferrous metals. My wife made a good point to her... She said "Baby if you can learn how to scrap you'll always be able to survive and make money." My daughter is only 7 but she knows and I'm glad for that.
Well that was the day in the Life of this Scrapper. Have a good weekend ya'll.

Cool thing about kid toys that don't work anymore, there's almost always a small copper motor that's pretty easy to get to with no effort

Your daughter is lucky to learn this at such a young age. I did not learn it until I retired from my first career. Congratulations.
