I have a small 12 ft dump trailer. Filled it up fairly good with sheet iron from computer carcasses and microwave carcasses. Figured there was around 1 ton in it. Yard not that far away (20 min) so I ran it in. Just about laughed when he handed me $41 for 1620lbs. $60 was the net ton price.
$41 in your pocket and an empty trailer, time to start over again!
What part of Wisconsin? Friend in EauClaire area says prices are coming back.

At least you got something and got rid of the steel, to me steel is like a by product of my main profit the real profit for me is the non ferrous and e waste I take out of those things, so the empty PC cases, microwave cases, air conditioner cases, etc are like the left overs plus whatever other steel items I throw in since I take in steel anyway.
I agree with you 100%. Sheet was usually cash for a nice dinner with the wife. I guess it will be McDonald's til prices come up. Lol��Quote:
