Hello fellow forum-ites!
I'm a new scrapp-head from Sweden trying to learn best practise in different methods to handle different kinds of scrap. Big fan of all good YouTube videos. One question is unanswered (probably more) the one about what temperature is optimal for burning ic chips. Would really like to burn it as good and as environmentally friendly as possible. Is there a basic guide out there somewhere?

Are you sure you want to burn (incinerate) them? What do you do after that? I'm presuming you are after the precious metals in the IC's, and if so your search and learning has just begun. Proper incineration methods, recovery, and refining of precious metals is discussed more appropriately on the GoldRefiningForum. Go and read all the recommended material, and you might find that you don't really want to burn IC's.
That could be the case that I don't want to burn it, it would be preferable not too burn the IC's. I will try the GoldRefiningForum and see what I can find.
The temperature is about 1000C to compromise the ceramic bond and to turn the plastic and epoxy to fly ash. But as already stated this is something for the gold refining forum and also...processing after incineration is physically meticulous.

tube is waste of time unless your just watching for fun.
Oh they did have a sweet vid on getting gold from river soil by running it down a carpet etc etc. Okay edit most utube is waste of time.
Im getting me gold oh !!!! Ever think if you sold a few working memory sticks for ebay closed auction price you could buy way more gold and make a lot more. Thats how to invest in gold. Buy and sell buy and sell and buy physical gold or silver. If you want to show off wear your own purchased gold like mr T use to in the Ateam.
