Omw to pick this up rright now. FYI my garage is FULL and storing this would require a few hrs of moving things. Would you guys just scrap this for the $50 or so it's worth, or try CL/used exercise vendor (like 2nd wind excersize). Unless it's worth like 150+ I would rather head straight to the scrap yard and not have to deal with unloading and reloading.

I scrap everything. I don't have the time for cl or eBay. But that's me. Only you know if its worth your time.
My oldest daughter bought a one new a few years back and I think it cost her around 300.
1 take pics.
2 Post to cl saying. "Need gone asap. $100"
3 load it in your truck.
4 Head to the scrap yard. If someone calls you before you get there you can double your money. If not, Oh well
Why is it being thrown away? Personally, I'd be leery of selling something that might be broken and hurt someone.
I scrapped one of those last month, not as nice but I believe the same machine. I was planning on selling it but when I got it home I noticed the after market I think I want it this way modifications the guy had done. Decided to scrap it but I did get about a half dozen pulleys off the thing. Check it out, if it looks safe, sell it.
I would try selling it. However since it's the 4th day, most New Years resolutions are probably broken.
That's high end gym equiptment I think it's way more expensive than just the stuff you buy to put in your basement. It could be worth well over half a grand. I would do some research maybe a school or gym would be interested
I'd research it, check out how old it is and look it over before I scrapped it. Some of that life fitness stuff sells for crazy money.

that's easy and the number one scrappers rule is always try and sell for more than scrap value first other wise what is the point in trying to make money in the first place if your going to give It to someone else

i think u should try & sell it but say that the buyer has to arrange for picking up
if they want you to deliver-then u work out what u think is a fair price & add it to the selling price
if that fails-then scrap it.
I would scrap and move on. I would love to find old weight sets with metal not concrete weights as you know what weight you are brining in!

I am very busy. I own a painting contractor company. Wish I had time to do resale and the space to hold it until it sold. Space is reserved for hording copper ,brass, and boards. I work 16-18 hours a day most days and I still can't keep up with the processing which needs to be done or my neighbors get pissy.Quote:
