It's no wonder the EPA contacted me over E-Scrap handling and what my process is. Was on scrap monster browsing the news and came across this article: Recycler Abandons Millions of Pounds of E-Waste apparently companies are abandoning their buildings or shutting down indefinitly for one reason or another. I'd say the E-Scrap market's becoming a hot mess and fast.
The worst thing is that sometimes the people who sent them the stuff are the ones who have to pay to clean it up.
Happened to a few transfer stations in NH about ten years ago.

Just rediculas - those are the folks that should be heavily penalized.
Funny thing for me is I used to purchase there computer scrap and when the Canadian company was purchasing CRT's I told the owner to ship his CRT's obviously he didnt listen.. What a shame it ended that way
I knew a bit about Stone Castle. I always suspected something, but never this bad.

Wish I could get in there and help clean up but that's above my pay grade.
Dang.. Here is a "smart idea" Lose your arse.. set all 3 of your facilities on fire and then say "What? What dumb luck that all of my locations caught on fire!!" Pollute the environment and vanish!
This is as bad as a thief breaking into some place and stealing scrap in my book.

What a disgrace to all of us. This makes the Tatooine issues in Cheyenne look small.
the heck o.O even if the EPA never contacted me I still wouldn'tve done what they did - that's just wrong on so many levels. I would've attempted to melt the glass down at least and not toss it into the landfill.
