I had to sell summer hoard of wire.

I needed the money and the space. I spent six hours cutting and rebagging wire last Saturday. Called around for pricing and went to yard with eight bags that weighed around 60 pounds a piece. I was payed .87/lb for almost 500 pounds. I didn't ask for help at the scales but the dock guys offered and pitched in anyways. They moaned and cried a lot carrying the bags three feet. Good pay day but hated to see it go. Need room for laptops and HDDs.

It sold as insulated #2, I offered to separate RJ11 and other smaller wire out but they said to leave it.

They said leave it because the 28 gauge solid core commo wire is 55% by weight, that's why.

fun times I always get a kick of my heavy containers over 100lbs when they lift it so I usually do lol

Nice price for the wire. We do not get that much here in the DFW area (at least not that I know of).

#2 ins wire here down to $.90 from $1.00...

highest around here is .45. majority are only paying .35. No good

It is pretty funny seeing some of the guys trying to carry stuff. I had a 50 pound electric motor, I carried it in under my arm, the guy had two hands struggling to carry it to the bin. Also another day I had a bin with about 150 pounds of electric motors, I lifted it off the truck myself, then carried it to the scale. Took two of them to carry it off, and they struggled. But, we have to remember they also have to carry huge bins like that many times a day, so maybe by then they're tired, or trying to conserve energy

When I first read this, I thought the RJ11 you were taking about was coaxial cable. Good thing I looked it up before posting. R11 or RG11 is coaxial cable. $0.87 is a decent price for #2 insulated right know. There are yards out there that will classify this as TELCO. I have a specialty yard that is currently paying $1.15 for TELCO.
