Old work light
I had an interesting thing happen recently and decided I would like to share the experience. I have scrapped a good amount of old machine tools in the past and I usually pull off anything that is valuable or I might need in the future. Well, a few days ago I had some down time and decided to reorganize my work area and while "cleaning" I found a old work light I put away some time ago. I liked the look of it and decided why not play around with it since I am easily distracted. This is a old work light has 3 articulating(?) elbows which I thought could be useful on the bench. Right there I lost all motivation to clean up and decided I had a new project to tackle. I tore it apart and drew a diagram of how to put it back together. This light was painted 3 times it looked like so I threw the painted parts in a bath for a day.
I came back started to scrap the paint off then it peeled easily to reveal the manufactures painted "label". Sort of interesting i noticed USA Property at te bottom left and kept pulling off paint until I realized it. Here is the bummer, I could of sold the lamp as is for around $100! I think I'll just tape off the "label" and redo it as planned.

Funny how items decide who gets them at times isn't it?
When your done with the project share again with us if you'd be so kind. An pretty cool light, I'da saved it myself for the shop.
