Remembrance Day
With Remembrance Day coming, I wanted to share a poem I wrote for me English course. I'm hoping other people may have poems to add to this. BTW sorry mine is just about Canadian soldiers
Soldiers Lived
And Soldiers Died
Soldiers Killed
Then soldiers cried
Soldiers Returned home
Soldiers Returned to heaven
Soldiers Returned to battle
Soldiers Returned to fight
Soldiers Lived
And Soldiers Died
Soldiers returned home
Yet they still cried
Those who lived
Will never forget
So lest we forget
What they’ve done
Soldiers lived
And soldiers died
Soldiers returned to heav’n
Yet they still cried
They cried O Canada
I gave my life
I died for thee
They lastly cried
Father keep them free
So Lest We Forget

Thank you young man. I want you to know you have brought a tear to an old mans eyes. My only remembrance days are for those who are not here to remember and those who left parts of their bodies in the dirt and mud of foreign lands, three of which were my buddies many many years ago their names carved in a wall. this is for all of those. The rest of us just did our jobs. This is for them.
